Cristiano Ronaldo stole the show with a top performance in the 4-1 win over Newcastle, but Paul Pogba was a silent killer in that game.

The Frenchman has often been criticized for being too lackadaisical in his approach to the game

but we have seen him put in world class performances while with the French national team.

During the Euros, he was spectacular to say the least.

This season, no one can say anything wrong about Pogba.

With so many World-class players now around him, Pogba’s game has been incredible.

Against Newcastle, he didn’t get on the score-sheet

but his contribution was top notch with two assists, and he set some records in the process.

Pogba has now recorded seven assists in Manchester Utd’s opening four league games of the season

and it is the most any player has registered in the first four matches of a Premier League season.

Also Pogba is the only player to have recorded as many as 10 assists in the Premier League in 2021

showing how much form he has been in as the chief creator in the Premier League.

Finally, Pogba played more passes into the final third against Newcastle United [23]

which is more than any other midfielder has managed in a Premier League game so far this season.

Pogba is indeed oozing with confidence, and we can only hope that he signs a new contract with the club.
