Jadon Sancho given stern ‘watch and learn’
The England winger has yet to score or register an assist for the Red Devils so far this season since his £72m summer arrival from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund
Sancho has struggles since joining Manchester United in the summer continue.
The talented young star made his move to Old Trafford after a long search from the club.
However, Manchester United completed a permanent deal worth £72m for Borussia Dortmund to release him.
Despite being a star player at Dortmund, the 21-years-old winger has been struggling at Manchester United since arrived.
He has failed to score or assist in his last 11 appearance for Red Devil so far this season across all competitions
But has yet to complete 90 minutes in the league
Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has now provided some advice for Sancho
Told him to accept his place on the bench at Old Trafford.
Writing in his column for The Times, Cascarino explained:
“Football is full of short-term fixes and in his precarious situation Ole was right to go with experience”
“with players he could put his trust in.
“It was what was needed and will be again when they face Atalanta and Manchester City this week”
“And again when they play against Chelsea next month”
“And if that is not what supporters of the younger players such as Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford”
“Mason Greenwood want to hear, then I’m afraid they are going to be disappointed”
“For the moment they are going to have to settle for being a very talented bench and take their chances when they can”
Cascarino went on to add that if Sancho can use his time out of the starting line-up
As a learning curve then it will have a positive outcome going forward.
“Young players, by their nature, are up and down in form and need to learn to be more consistent,” He added
“Ronaldo and Cavani are setting the standard and Sancho”
“a £70 million signing from Borussia Dortmund, needs to watch and learn”
“Some big transfers don’t work or take time to settle. That could be the case with Sancho.”
