Official: Man Utd released their New 25 Men Squad For Champions League 21/2
Manchester United have named their 25-man squad for the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League group stages
However, Old Trafford which was drawn long side Villarreal, Atlanta, and Young Boy this season group stage
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has no disclosed his squad number which will be available for the competition.
Moreover, Lee Grant has been left out of the squad.
While David De Gea, Dean Henderson, and Tom Heaton were named as the three goalkeepers in the squad.
In defense, United has named four central defenders and four full-backs meaning there is no room for Phil Jones.
The former England international hasn’t featured for the club since January 2020 in an FA Cup tie against Tranmere Rovers but wasn’t able to secure a move away from Old Trafford in the January transfer window
In midfield, Jesse Lingard is named in the squad after staying at the club during the transfer window.
After his brilliant performance during his loan spell at West Ham United in the second half of last season.
Youngster Amad is also named in the squad, despite a thigh injury being severe enough to cancel his loan move to Feyenoord late on in the window.
In attack, Cristiano Ronaldo is named in the squad as is the currently injured Marcus Rashford.
Mason Greenwood isn‘t named but will still be eligible to feature as homegrown players under the age of 21 do not need to be part of the registered squad and can instead be named on the B list.
