Paul Robinson disclosed the only condition that will make Pogba renew Man Utd contact
Paul Pogba will likely put pen to paper for a new Manchester United contract
if the likes of Antonio Conte or Zinedine Zidane is appointed to take over from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, according to former England goalkeeper, Paul Robinson.
The midfielder is in the final year of his contract,
Will be free to talk to other clubs from January
with Juventus, Real Madrid and other European giants said to be keen on his services.
Solskjaer’s position as manager has never been under more threat
Even though he’s reportedly received the backing of the Man Utd board.
Paul Robinson however believes that the current situation of things at Old Trafford may be reason Pogba is stalling on a new contract.
Speaking to Football Insider recently, he said, “I can’t see him being a the club much longer given his contract situation”
“He can sign a pre-contract with a foreign club in January”
“Let’s be honest, if he was going to stay he would have signed a new deal by now”
“The only thing that would keep Pogba at Man United would be the arrival of a world-class manager”
“We are talking about someone like an Antonio Conte or a Zinedine Zidane.
“United would need a manager in the bracket of [Jurgen] Klopp, [Pep] Guardiola and [Thomas] Tuchel”
“Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not in that bracket.”
