Report: Manchester United set to terminate player’s contract
Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri went on a season-long loan move to La Liga side Deportivo Alaves during the summer, as he moved to Spain for more game time.
The 19-year-old winger has only started one La Liga match this season and his total playing time is under 200 minutes so far.
According to Goal, United are now considering terminating his contract after inserting a clause
That allows them to recall the player if he’s not played 1,000 minutes before the start of December.
This means Facundo Pellistri will return to Old Trafford once the deal termination is completed
With Manchester United fully stocked on the flanks
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will decide on another loan deal for Facundo in the second half of the campaign.
Pellistri would most likely not be short of offers as he was a wanted man during the summer transfer window.
The highly-rated Uruguayan penned a deal with United in October 2020 after signing from Penarol.
He became a regular feature for the Under-23 side.
