Following Thiago Silva’s call-up to the Brazil squad, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has slammed FIFA

Claiming the Blues have been put in an “impossible” situation.

Silva, 37, will join up with Brazil for the upcoming international fixtures

This means he will be unavailable to face Brentford when he returns.

Silva will play in games against Venezuela, Colombia, and Uruguay, the last of which is set to begin at 1.30 a.m.

GMT on Friday morning, the day before Chelsea’s match at Brentford.

Tuchel replied when asked about Chelsea’s tricky predicament.

“He will go and then he will play for Brazil and then he will come back on the match-day versus Brentford,

“This is international breaks’ life, this is international breaks’ scenario in 2021.”

“What can I do, like it or not?” Is this a viable option for our club? No. We can’t stop him, though”

“It’s impossible if they call him; he’ll have to leave.” He will be suspended from FIFA if he does not comply”

“We don’t have a choice; it’s something we have to live with.”

Silva was one of the numerous players who chose not to participate in the last round of international fixtures

which might have resulted in a suspension, but the Brazil Federation decided not to pursue any action through FIFA.
